Welcome!

This website was created by the Volunteer and Public Service Advisory Board in order to better meet the needs of volunteer groups at Georgetown. You can find out information about existing groups, get the documents and resources you need to access more funds, as well find out what kinds of volunteer events are going on in the DC Area.

New Groups

Thinking about starting your own group? Just head on over to our New Group section of the website. All new group applications are due the February 1st, 2005. Check out the new group section to find out more information about what you need to do in order to start and be a new group. The VPS Board has implemented extensive changes into the new group development process, so please read the new requirements and steps of being a new group closely.

Financial Training

All group presidents and treasurers are required to attend a financial training this Spring. The training will go over dealing with reimbursements, how and when to submit speaker, conference and retreat requests, as well as many other fun budgetary tasks. Time and location TBA.

Budgets!

The 2006-2007 Group Budgets will be due on Friday, March 10th. You can find sample budgets and the budget form under the Resources section of the site. The VPS Board will review budgets the weekend of March 17th. Make sure to start working on your budget early! If you have any questions, contact your student advisor.
